Wine Knowledge for Professional Service and Recommendations

This training programme teaches the Food and Beverage Service staff to understand the origins of wine, differences in cultivars, styles of wine and how wines are made. This will assist them to be able to make informed recommendations to guests.

This programme is presented at introduction, intermediate or supervisory level.

 

Duration of training programme:

Attendance only: 2 days training 

Training for accreditation and certification: 2 days training and 1 day assessment

Wine Knowledge for the wine industry promotional staff and sales professionals

This training programme is structured to train new sales staff joining the wine industry on the basics of wine. It covers the origins of wine, viticulture and viniculture (growing of grapes and the production of various wine styles). It will also cover sales techniques and service skills for various wine styles.

 

Duration of training programme:

Attendance only: 2 days training 

Accreditation and certification: optional extra

Introductory Wine Appreciation Programme

This programme is especially for the wine enthusiast and collectors to learn about the origins of wine, how various wine styles are made. It provides you with tasting skills and knowledge of various grape varieties and their taste profiles.

 

Duration of training programme:

Attendance only: 8 hours Saturday or 2 x week - evenings (18:00 – 22:00)

Accreditation and certification: optional extra

Wine and Food Pairing Dinners

An enjoyable fun evening for small to medium groups of friends or business colleagues. You are taken on a journey through various food and wine combinations; some very harmonious and others not in harmony to show you how your food can sometimes spoil a good wine or how an average wine can enhance the flavours of your food.

 

Duration of training programme:

Attendance only: 4 hours including dinner

Corporate Team Building Events

Ideal for teambuilding with clients or staff.  Let us show you how to blend your own wine. A facilitator will do a de-briefing of the teambuilding event, looking at leadership, conflict and other important business issues.

This is followed by a dining journey through various food and wine combinations; some very harmonious and others not in harmony to show you how your food can sometimes spoil a good wine or how an average wine can enhance the flavours of your food.
